After a Northwest winter most cars need a reset, inside and out. Glass carries a film that fogs up on a damp morning, vents and door jambs hold last spring's pollen, and the paint has a dull gray cast from months of road spray.
If a ceramic coating is next, correct the paint first: the coating preserves the paint exactly as it finds it. Keeping it that way comes down to washing. A gritty mitt, a brush wash or a dry towel on a dusty panel will put swirls back faster than any road.
