Paint Protection Film

Invisible armor for rock chips, road grit and de-icer.

Paint protection film is a clear, 8-mil urethane skin applied to the panels that take the abuse: hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, headlights and door edges. Rock chips, gravel, bug etching and the sand and studded-tire grit that sandblast a front end on I-5 stop at the film, not your paint.

We install self-healing film with a ceramic-infused top coat, so light scratches and swirls heal with a little sun and water beads off like a fresh coating. Every kit is plotter-cut for your exact year and model, and we can create custom patterns when a vehicle needs one.

04 //How it goes

The PPF process

  1. 01

    Paint prep

    Decontamination wash, clay and a light polish so nothing is sealed under the film.

  2. 02

    Plotter-cut kit

    Film cut on a plotter to your exact year and model; custom patterns when we need to wrap an edge.

  3. 03

    Wet install

    Film floated into place, squeegeed and edges tucked — 1 to 2 days in the shop for a full front.

  4. 04

    Cure + care

    No washing for 7 days. After that, hand wash and enjoy the self-healing top coat.

Northwest note

Grit, gravel and de-icer

Winter roads here carry sand, gravel and studded-tire grit, and liquid de-icer gets into every chip it finds. PPF keeps the factory paint under film, which is what a buyer pays for at resale.
