Window Tinting
Cooler summers, softer glare.

For the two seasons your windows work against you: July afternoons that cook a parked car, and winter mornings when the sun sits at eye level.

Seattle, WA
01 //The short version

Summer heat and low winter glare, handled.

Tint around Seattle has two jobs, and which one matters depends on the month. Through the dry stretch from July into September, a car on an open lot soaks up heat through every pane of glass it has. From November to February the sun barely clears the trees and shines straight down I-5 and Aurora into your eyes.

Darkness and heat are separate choices. How dark a film looks is its light number; how cool it keeps you depends on how much infrared it turns back, and a ceramic IR film turns back far more than a dyed film of the same darkness. Washington limits how dark side and rear windows may be, measured through the factory glass and the film together, so the shade is checked against your exact vehicle before any film goes on. Draft — pending legal review.

Why it matters here

Built for Northwest weather.

Rain, road grit, pollen and the odd heat wave. Here is what each of them means for this service.

Sun at eye level

In the winter months the sun never climbs far, so it sits right where you look on the drive in and the drive home. Film on the side and rear glass takes the sting out of it without making the car gloomy inside.

Long, wet nights

From late fall the evening commute happens in the dark, and often in the rain. A lighter ceramic on the front doors keeps the mirrors and the road easy to see, because the heat rejection comes from the ceramic, not from the darkness.

Checked for your vehicle

Washington's limits depend on the window, on the vehicle's class and on the factory glass. We read your vehicle's door-jamb label and check the glass before a shade is picked. Draft — pending legal review.

We show you samples on real glass and confirm the shade for your vehicle.

Your film is computer-cut to the exact glass pattern — no blades on your windows.

  3. 03 //

    Clean-room install

Door panels protected, glass triple-cleaned, film heat-shrunk and squeegeed edge to edge.

  4. 04 //

    Cure + aftercare

Windows stay up 3–5 days. Haze or small water pockets clear within a couple of weeks, a little longer in cold, damp weather.

Built for Northwest summers and winter glare

Seattle hit 108°F in June 2021, and many cars and homes here were never set up for that kind of heat. Ceramic IR film is the biggest comfort upgrade for a daily driver, it cuts the glare of low winter sun, and 99% UV block keeps your dash and seats looking new at trade-in.

What our customers say.

I had my Tacoma TRD Off-Road in for window tint, ceramic coating, and full front PPF, and the results are spectacular. The tint is even and dark with no bubbling, and the PPF fitment around the bumper, hood, and mirrors is precise with zero lifting edges or wrinkles. Hard to even tell it's there until the light hits it right. …

My experience with Midnight Tint was quick and efficient. This was my first experience tinting a car and Midnight made it very quick and easy for me. Their front desk person let me sit in a few cars with different tint levels, and that was very helpful for me. I don’t have a fancy car, but I felt like Midnight treated me well. I’ll definitely return if I ever need a touch up. :)
