06 //The short version

Cooler rooms, less glare, lower power bills.

Daylight is worth a lot here. Through the winter it is dark by late afternoon and gray for much of the day, so the last thing a home around Seattle needs is a film that makes the rooms darker. Films for houses are chosen to keep the light and stop the heat.

No two houses take the same film: the glass, the direction it faces and how you use the room all change the answer. That is why home film is quoted after a call, not from a price list. Call the shop and describe the rooms.

Why it matters here

Built for Northwest weather.

Rain, road grit, pollen and the odd heat wave. Here is what each of them means for this service.

Winter sun across the room

From November on the sun crosses the sky so low that it reaches deep into a room, straight across a TV or a desk. Film cuts that glare and leaves the room bright.

Fading on gray days too

UV gets through cloud and through ordinary glass, so floors and furniture by the window fade even in a gray year. Film that blocks UV helps keep them their original color.

Privacy that still lets light in

Street-facing windows and townhomes built close together are where privacy film earns its place. It works in daylight; after dark, with the lights on inside, it behaves differently, and that is worth understanding before you choose.

    Cure

Film dries clear over 2–4 weeks, longer in cool, damp months. Don't clean it for 30 days.

Heat waves without AC

Seattle hit 108°F in 2021, and many homes here have no air conditioning. Solar film on west and south glass is the fastest comfort fix that keeps the view.

Questions

Before you book.

What our customers say.

I had my Tacoma TRD Off-Road in for window tint, ceramic coating, and full front PPF, and the results are spectacular. The tint is even and dark with no bubbling, and the PPF fitment around the bumper, hood, and mirrors is precise with zero lifting edges or wrinkles. Hard to even tell it's there until the light hits it right. …

My experience with Midnight Tint was quick and efficient. This was my first experience tinting a car and Midnight made it very quick and easy for me. Their front desk person let me sit in a few cars with different tint levels, and that was very helpful for me. I don’t have a fancy car, but I felt like Midnight treated me well. I’ll definitely return if I ever need a touch up. :)
